The investigation into the weekend shooting in North Fort Myers continued Tuesday.


The sheriff's office said all those involved have been accounted for, but their identities remain unknown.

An incident report from the Lee County Sheriff's Office reveals new details about a fatal shooting Saturday night that authorities have classified as “domestic in nature,” but the names of the accused shooter and victim remain redacted.

Shortly after 10:20 p.m. Saturday, sheriff's deputies responded to a home on South Road in North Fort Myers where one person was dead.

The sheriff's office said on social media that the crime scene had been contained and all parties had been identified. It added that the investigation was domestic in nature.

An incident report released Monday said Lee County EMS confirmed the victim was dead. The heavily redacted report said the sheriff's office's major crimes unit took over the investigation.

Capt. Anita Iriarte, a spokeswoman for the sheriff's office, said the investigation was continuing Tuesday afternoon.
