FORT LAUDERDALE — A man was found shot to death in a Broward County alley late Saturday morning.

Shortly before noon, Broward County Sheriff's Office officers and firefighters were called to the scene of a shooting near 2100 NW 28th St. in Oakland Park. When officers arrived, they found Ammon Watson, 18, who had been shot in the driveway, the sheriff's office told CBS News Miami.

Deputies quickly established a perimeter while BSO crime scene and homicide units investigated the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Investigators say the shooter ran up to Watson as he was in the driveway of a family home and shot him before fleeing the scene.
