Police arrest two in connection with Montpellier stabbing

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) – Police have arrested two people in connection with a stabbing that happened over the weekend in Montpelier, and one of them is a teenager.

On Monday afternoon, Ross Goldstein-Perdue, 16, of Worcester, pleaded not guilty to attempted second-degree murder. He is being charged as an adult.

Court documents indicate that Goldstein-Perdue claims the stabbing was an act of self-defense.

Santos DeJesus, 33, of Barre, faces one count of accessory after the fact to attempted second-degree murder.

Police said the stabbing outside the Walgreens on Main Street Saturday night sent the victim to the hospital.
