Police release names of man, woman who died in Lansing crash early Saturday

Neshawn Jackson, 26, and Katherine Gilbert, 31, were the victims, Lansing police said Monday afternoon.

The crash happened about 12:50 am Saturday near Marshall Street and Lansing Catholic High School, police said.

Jackson was found outside of the vehicle and was dead at the scene, they said. Gilbert was extricated by the Lansing Fire Department and taken to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
