Diddy Calls $30 Million Lawsuit Filed Against Him by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones “Blatant Lies” in Motion to Dismiss

Sean “Diddy” Combs wants Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones’ lawsuit against him dismissed.

The hip-hop mogul hit back at the producer in court documents Monday, calling Lil Rod's allegations against him “legally meaningless allegations and blatant lies.”

Jones is suing the Bad Boy mogul for $30 million, after claiming in federal court documents that he was forced to perform sex acts, drugged and groped while working for the mogul.

He also said in an amended complaint filed in March that Combs was part of a “RICO enterprise” and was involved in a “sex trafficking enterprise.”

But Diddy's lawyers fired back in Manhattan federal court Monday, saying Jones' “real goal is to generate hype and exploit it to obtain a settlement” from the “I'll Be Missing You” rapper.

The fiery motion argues that: “Jones' Second Amended Complaint is his third attempt to disguise an ordinary business disagreement as a salacious RICO conspiracy. Spanning nearly 100 pages, it
includes countless tall tales, shameless celebrity names and unrelated images. Yet despite
For all its hyperbole and sordid theatrics, the SAC fails to formulate a single viable claim against any of the

Diddy's attorneys also allege in the new motion that “Jones recently posted a video on the 'X' platform in which he, along with an artist known as 'Uncle Murda,' laughed about this lawsuit (despite his
allegations of “severe emotional distress”),” and “demanded that Mr. Combs pay him “this money by Monday.”

Adds the new motion, “As [Jones’ second amended complaint] Jones’ filmed threats on social media are part of a calculated attempt to promote his personal brand and profit from that exposure. Such tactics have no place in federal court.

Diddy's latest court documents state that “Jones' RICO claim should be dismissed” because his second amended complaint “fails to establish standing, fails to plead a 'pattern of racketeering activity,' and fails to plead the existence of a RICO 'enterprise.'”

The attorneys also argue that Jones' claim under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act should be dismissed and that “Jones' sexual assault claim against Mr. Combs should be dismissed because Jones fails to plead the most basic facts, such as where and when any alleged assault occurred or what allegedly happened.”

The new motion also dismisses Jones' other charges in court documents, which include “negligent infliction of emotional distress,” “intentional infliction of emotional distress” and “breach of an oral contract,” saying Jones' complaint is “filled with outlandish stories of misconduct.”

The motion states: “Although Jones claims he was 'forced' to solicit and have sex with sex workers, [second amended complaint] “fails to identify what that force consisted of and fails to link any specific threat to any specific act.”

Jones claims to have worked for Diddy from September 2022 to November 2023.

Diddy’s attorney, Erica Wolff of the law firm Sher Tremonte, said in a statement Monday about the filing: “Mr. Jones’ lawsuit is a complete fiction, a brazen attempt to create hype and secure a quick settlement. There was no RICO conspiracy and Mr. Jones was not threatened, manipulated, assaulted or trafficked. We look forward to proving in court that all of Mr. Jones’ allegations are fabricated and should be dismissed.”

Jones' attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
