Stray husky makes full recovery after being impaled on leg by trampoline spring

PHOENIX (AZ family) — A young Husky has made a full recovery after a trampoline spring impaled her leg.

Earlier this month, someone brought the injured stray into the Arizona Humane Society's animal welfare lobby after she was found wandering the streets of Phoenix with a trampoline spring embedded in her leg.

When the one-year-old dog, now named Simone, was brought to AHS, she was clearly in distress and pain. Veterinarians quickly sedated her and removed the spring with bolt cutters.

Simone has recovered very well after a week of medical observation. She has no lasting after-effects on her leg.

A true Husky, AHS describes Simone as an energetic pup who loves people. She is looking forward to her next without trampoline adventure in his furry forever home.

Simone is now available for adoption at AHS's Papago Park campus.
