Victim identified in Tazewell County crash in Green Valley

The collision happened Saturday morning at the intersection of Towerline Road and Toboggan Avenue in rural Green Valley. Elmer Paperhause, 90, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Paperhause died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the collision with a motor vehicle. He was the sole occupant of the van he was driving.

Four occupants of the other van were taken to Peoria Hospital.

This case remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police, the Tazewell County Sheriff's Office and the Tazewell County Coroner's Office.
