16-year-old boy seriously injured in Grand Prairie street racing crash reportedly on the mend

A teenager who survived a crash in Grand Prairie that killed four members of his family is reportedly in better health.

According to a GoFundMe campaign, Anthony Rosales, 16, is no longer on a ventilator and is breathing on his own.

Rosales was in an SUV with his parents, Jessie and Lorena, his 13-year-old sister, Stephanie, and his 6-year-old brother, Angel, when a speeding car hit them.

Anthony was thrown from the vehicle and was seriously injured. All four members of his family were killed.

Grand Prairie police said the two suspects, Jaime Mesa and Anthony Morales, were driving their Dodge Chargers at the time of the crash.

Witnesses say Mesa was driving more than 100 miles per hour when he hit the Rosales' SUV, according to an arrest report.

Mesa and Morales are both charged with multiple counts, including involuntary manslaughter and aggravated assault.
