Canyon Lake drowning victim identified

We're learning more about a drowning that occurred at Canyon Lake in the northeast corner of the valley. Maricopa County sheriff's deputies have identified the victim who drowned after falling off a paddleboard. The incident occurred as monsoon storms hit the area on Aug. 22. The body of Gerardo Nava-Bedolla, 26, was found the next morning in an area about 75 feet deep.
