Retail newcomer Nick Yorke is on fire

The Pirates' affiliates won three of five games they played Saturday, with former Red Sox first-round pick Nick Yorke getting two hits, pushing his batting average north of .330 in his three weeks with the organization.

Triple-A Indianapolis lost 6-3 to Columbus. Jack Suwinski has had a rough time in his minor league career this season, but he had a double and a home run (the latter against a lefty, no less) on Saturday.

Po-Yu Chen left the game after just four innings and 58 pitches, an unusual early exit for the right-hander from Taiwan who spent time on the Pirates' MLB Pipeline top prospect list. Altoona's bullpen went off the rails after that, and the Curve lost 8-4 to Richmond.

Shawn Ross, Lonnie White Jr. and Hudson Head all homered in Greensboro's 10-6 win over the Asheville Tourists, while Termarr Johnson stole a base for the second straight game…a remarkable feat, considering he's only stolen three bases all season.

Bradenton swept its doubleheader against the Lakeland Flying Tigers, with Javier Rivas contributing a double and a homer in the opener and 2024 ninth-round pick Duce Gourson picking up his fourth double in ten games during the night game.
