Kern County Officers Arrest Suspect for Drug Sales During Lamont Search

Arrest for drug trafficking in Lamont

August 24, 2024 – Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at approximately 3:00 p.m., deputies from the Lamont Substation Response Area located and arrested Jesus Campana, a 35-year-old Lamont man, on an active felony warrant at 7900 Alden Street in Lamont. A search warrant was served at Campana’s residence. During the service of the search warrant, Lamont deputies located over two pounds of a suspected controlled substance, a loaded firearm, and evidence of drug sales, including large sums of U.S. currency.

Campana was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance while armed, operating a drug sales place, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a controlled substance and his active felony warrant.
