Man hospitalized after stabbing in east central Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Police are searching for the person who stabbed a man in east central Fresno.

It happened just after 2:30 a.m. Monday on Pontiac and Denali.

Police said several people were in the area when an argument broke out and a man wearing a black hoodie attacked the victim, stabbing him in the lower leg.

The suspect fled the scene westbound on Pontiac.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital.

He was conscious and breathing, but his condition was not disclosed.

Pontiac was closed for the investigation.
