Hillsboro men arrested in 2020 Adams County homicide

Hillsboro, Ohio — Two Hillsboro men have been arrested in connection with the 2020 murder of an 18-year-old in Adams County. Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, Adams County Sheriff Kimmy Rogers and Adams County Prosecutor Aaron Haslam announced the arrests today.

Jordan Comer, 22, and Latyran “Ty” Haithcock, 25, were taken into custody this morning without incident. Arrest warrants issued last Friday allege that Comer and Haithcock are involved in the death of Boston Bloomfield on August 25, 2020. The incident occurred in the 200 block of Palmer Road in Seaman, a village in Adams County.

The arrests conclude an extensive investigation by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Adams County Sheriff's Office, with significant contributions from the Highland County Task Force, the Highland County Prosecutor's Office and the Highland County Sheriff's Office.

The arrest of Comer and Haithcock was made with the assistance of the Fayette County Sheriff's Office and the Washington Courthouse Police Department. Comer is currently being held at the Adams County Jail, while Haithcock is being held at the Fayette County Jail. The case will be reviewed by the Adams County Prosecutor's Office and presented to a grand jury for further proceedings.

Defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
